Things To Do
There’s so much to do–you’ll want to make the most of your time in this Oklahoma resort-style community. Enjoy outdoor movie nights, art walks, concerts in the park, and all the seasonal events that happen here. Don’t be surprised if you fall in love with the slower pace of life and the amazing natural beauty that surrounds the town.
Get Out and Explore
One of the great things about the design of this New Urban community is that it is completely walkable or accessible by bike. This new concept of planning designs around people rather than around cars, meaning that simply walking out the front door connects you to great restaurants, community events, swimming and boating at the lake, and more!
Lake Eufaula
It goes without saying that Lake Eufaula is a center attraction for things to do here. With 105,000 acres of water, sandy beaches, and 800 miles of shoreline, the lake offers a swim beach, a fishing dock, boat ramps and rentals as well as kayak and paddleboard rentals for fun out on the water.
Fishing is extremely popular here and anglers come from all over to fish its fully stocked waters. Others come for the water sports, the laid-back feel, or the amazing sense of community.
Parks and Pools
Tired of playing on the lake? Check out the many parks and pools throughout Carlton Landing. Catch a live concert at Pavilion Park, a fitness class or amazing sunrise at Overlook Park, or a game of Bocce Ball at the aptly named Bocce Ball Park. Two community pools, a wading pool for kids and a hot tub are available for kicking back and having a chill afternoon with the family.
Dining Options
Wanting to grab a bite? Carlton Landing has some great local eats. When you are
craving a classic breakfast or a coffee, The Meeting House is a one-stop shop. Mama Tig’s is known for its authentic, wood-fired pizza, while Dobber’s Roadhouse offers burgers and a wide selection of beers. If you are in the mood to eat lakeside, The Airstream Food Trucks at Food Truck Park serve everything from sandwiches to frozen treats. It’s our favorite way to end a morning on the lake.
Special Events
The Carlton Landing community hosts events throughout the year, such as movie nights out in a park, floral workshops, and even concerts. All of these are open to residents, guests, and the public and are a great way to feel connected to the community.
If you are in need of some retail therapy, check out the pop-up shops that are scheduled monthly during the winter and weekly during the warmer months. Vendors offer everything from food to fresh veggies, and other locally grown products.
